Clothe Drive in Kaspi Rehabilitation Center: On May 6, 2007 Georgian FLEX alumni visited mentally disabled youth located in Kaspi Rehabilitation Centre. Kaspi Centre has 40 residents of ages 4-18. All of them are mentally disabled and some of them are physically disabled too. Alumni brought clothes and food for them, played with the Rehabilitation Centre residents.
Flex Alumni played games with children and drew pictures on the walls with chalks of different color. Later Kaspi Orphans took alumni to art room where they showed them their art work and listened to some music performance by the disabled kids.
The several hours of visit was a thrill for the Kaspi Rehabilitation Centre residents. Being not used to thismuch attention and involvement residents could not cover their excitement. Unusual activities also caught children attention. Many of them enjoyed a walk along with alumni and talked about their dreams, most of them wanted to have mother and live peacefully with their family. FLEX alumni were also very pleased to be able to bring smiles on their faces. Later the residents drew their experience from the day on posters. Drawing family picture with many members of family and smiley faces was reflected on every poster.
After several hours of interaction with rehabilitation center residents alumni received warm hugs and said good buy with hope of meeting each other some day.
