Tamriko Bacouradze – Teaching Team Leader

Tamriko Bacouradze is a linguist with 18 years of experience and expertise in teaching languages (Georgian, Russian, English and Greek). She has won a reputation as one of the most highly recommended teachers of all those languages in Georgia . She is the author of several textbooks and manuals for Georgian and Greek, and a dictionary of Georgian verbs under her authorship is forthcoming. As a professional teacher, she is flexible and willing to structure her teaching around the needs of her students

 

Natalia Petrenko

Natalia Petrenko graduated from Tbilisi State University , where she specialized in philosophy. Since then she has worked Senior Teacher in the Russian Sector of Tbilisi State University, in the Faculty of Philosophy. She has been trained in intensive teaching methodology for Russian Language for Foreigners at the Pushkin Institute in Moscow .

Her approach to teaching is based on methods that facilitate the process of learning grammatical materials and the language in whole.

   

Olga Spirandi

Olga graduated from Tbilisi State University , faculty of Philology, where she got qualification of teacher of Russian, Language and Literature and Greek Language and Literature. She has also earned Certificate for Foundation English Language Studies (with honors). Olga was secretary of Union of Greek Youth of Georgia and took part in various seminars and trainings devoted to cultural relations and civic education. She was a member of Counsel of Greeks abroad and Committee of Volunteers of Olympic Games-Athens 2004. She teaches Russian Language at the Union of Greek Youth. She also graduated from Tbilisi State Conservatory with a major in piano performance.

   

Khatuna Dutidze

Khatuna graduated from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of Tbilisi State University in 1986, and since than her activities have been related to the educational field. Her professional background includes 16 year work experience as a teacher of Russian language at Tbilisi State University . In 1986-1994 she lectured Russian language to foreign students and successfully used advanced Russian as a second language teaching methods. From 1997 to the present she has been a member of the Russian Language Faculty of Tbilisi State University and a teacher of Russian language to Georgian students. In 2001 she defended her dissertation and was appointed as a Docent of Tbilisi State University. She is an author of 10 academic works about translation and stylistic issues and is co-author of a Russian language course book for Georgian secondary schools.

 

Ketevan Abesadze

Ketevan Abesadze graduated from Tbilisi State University with a qualification of a teacher of Georgian, ancient Greek and Latin languages and literature. She has special interest in the Mediterranean world, both ancient and modern, and teaches these subjects at TSU. Ketevan tries to learn as much as possible and to express to her students various subjects of Mediterranean languages, history, geography and politics. She wrote several textbooks and dictionaries of ancient Greek language. Ketevan Abesadze is often invited to do editorial work for her colleagues.
 

Rusudan Tsanava

Rusudan Tsanava is a professor at Tbilisi State University . Her specialization is classical philology and cultural studies. Rusudan has published works on mytho-ritual models and symbols in classical literature and their parallels in Georgian literature. She is interested in exploring rituals that have deep roots and that are still relevant today today, such as causes of aggression, rage, blood feuds, and the rituals of burying.
In addition to her academic explorations she has great experience in teaching language. Over years she has worked as a Georgian language and literature at the high school level, and she has been involved in developing the new Georgian language and literature university entrance examination. She has also taught at the university level for more than twenty years, and she has much experience in working with foreign students.
